Netaca Licencing: Education

Netaca Pilot License



A great way to get started with Netaca is to take an evaluation licence. This will enable your staff and students to try out Netaca together at a reduced cost.

  • WebSol hosts the system on it's own hardware and software, provides Internet connectivity and a high level of technical support.
  • WebSol provides maintenance, consultation and support for the pilot period.
  • Term: Six Months Only
  • Maximum number of users for the pilot license cannot exceed 5000.
Netaca Annual Licence Options



Netaca offers two annual license options :

  1. Onsite Option

    With an onsite installation Netaca is located on the client's server and only a standard level of technical support is required.

    This license assumes that an IT proficient server and database administrator will set-up users and configure the initial groups on Netaca. Hardware, database and server software, and Internet connectivity are supplied by the licensee.

    Third Party Software

    Single processor educational license of MS SQL server database.
    Operating system educational license: Windows 2000 Server, IIS 5.0 Internet Server is included.

    Third Party Server Hardware

    Minimum recommended for 10000 users
    Memory: 500mb
    Processor: 1.7 Ghz or faster
    Hard disk space: 80gb (8 Mb per user)

  2. Hosted Option

    The second is an ASP license based upon an application service provider (ASP) model where Netaca is hosted on a seperate system on it's own hardware and software, provides Internet connectivity and a high level of technical support through its hosting partners.

    We provide upgrades about every six months.

  • Maintenance
    Comprehensive Maintenance provides for telephone assistance, fixes to notified problems, provision of fixes and upgrades and documentation made available by Licensor.
  • Support
    Student and staff users are directed to the system administrator at their institution first, however we provide administrator users with support between 9am and 5pm weekdays.
Ongoing ASP license services include:
  • Server and software upgrades, maintenance, security patches and SSL encryption of data
  • Data backup
  • Network Monitoring
